EAW NT119S
19″ Powered Subwoofer — Newport Series
The EAW NT119S is a single 19-inch active subwoofer and one of two large-format additions to EAW’s Newport Series. It is built around a newly developed 19-inch high-excursion driver that moves around 25% more air than a conventional 18-inch design, and with 4000 W of onboard Class-D power it reaches 136 dB max SPL with low-frequency extension down to 25 Hz — output and depth normally associated with 21-inch systems, from a more compact, array-ready enclosure. It is designed as a low-frequency partner to the NT206L and NT208L line arrays and works equally well flown or ground-stacked.
A new 19-inch high-excursion driver
At the core of the NT119S is a purpose-built 19-inch high-excursion transducer on a 4-inch voice coil in a vented enclosure. The 19-inch format sits between the industry-standard 18-inch and 21-inch sizes, and EAW’s driver is engineered to move roughly 25% more air than a typical 18-inch cone. That additional displacement is what lets a single-driver cabinet reach 136 dB max SPL and extend cleanly to 25 Hz — the bottom octave that gives kick, low synth and effects their physical weight. In practical terms it means fewer boxes to reach a target level and a smaller, lighter low-frequency rig for the same output.
4000 W of onboard amplification
The NT119S carries a 4000 W integrated Class-D amplifier and its DSP inside the cabinet, so there is no external amplifier rack to transport, power or cable. It runs in single-amp VLF DSP mode with EAW DynO, the dynamic-optimisation processing used across the Newport subs, which keeps voicing consistent with the NT206L and NT208L tops and holds performance together under sustained load. Building the electronics into the enclosure removes the weight and floor space of a separate rack and simplifies signal and power distribution on site.
A step up from single 18-inch subs
The NT119S is positioned as a direct upgrade for anyone running conventional single 18-inch subwoofers. The larger driver and higher displacement deliver more output and lower extension from a single cabinet, so a rig can hit the same low-frequency targets with fewer boxes, or go louder and lower with the same count. For production companies and installers that means less to transport, rig and store for a given level of low-end performance.
EAW NT119S can be Flown or ground-stacked, array-ready
The NT119S ships in an array-ready enclosure designed for both flown and ground-stacked deployment. As a low-frequency partner to the NT206L and NT208L, it can be flown alongside the tops or built into dedicated sub arrays on the ground. The same cabinet supports cardioid and end-fire array configurations that keep low-frequency energy in the audience and off the stage, so the box adapts to the room rather than forcing a single deployment method.
Configured with OAA v1.1
The NT119S is supported by version 1.1 of EAW’s Online Array Assistant (OAA), the browser-based tool that calculates rigging and array parameters before load-in. OAA v1.1 supports throw distances up to 300 feet, reports total array weight and bottom-of-array height for safe rigging, and includes a dedicated subwoofer array guide for setting up cardioid and end-fire arrays quickly and reliably. The system is predicted and controllable before it leaves the deck.
Built for the road and the elements
Newport Series cabinets are built from Baltic birch, steel and aluminium for the balance of stiffness, durability and weight that professional use demands, and an optional rain hood protects the amplifier and input section during outdoor deployments. That makes the NT119S suited to fixed installation, touring and open-air festival work alike.
EAW NT119S – Part of the Newport ecosystem
The NT119S sits alongside the NT219S subwoofer and the NT206L, NT208L and NTX210L line arrays in EAW’s Newport Series. Every Newport module carries integrated amplification and is included in EAW’s Resolution software libraries for 3D SPL modelling and room optimisation, so designers can model coverage and output ahead of time and deploy a system that behaves as planned.
Applications
Touring and live production, fixed installations, outdoor festivals, corporate events, houses of worship and performing arts venues — wherever high-output, low-distortion low frequency is needed without an external amplifier rack.
