Dominant Blaze by Sonance PowerZone Connect 3004 – 3000W 4-Channel DSP Amplifier for High-Output Commercial Installations
The Blaze by Sonance PowerZone Connect 3004 is a 3000W DSP-enabled Class-D amplifier with four high-current output channels in a full-rack 2RU chassis. It sits at the top of the non-Dante 4-channel range, delivering 750W per channel into 2Ω or 4Ω loads in single-ended mode and 1500W per bridged pair — the kind of output that powers large-format loudspeakers, subwoofers, and extensive 70V/100V distributed lines in the most demanding commercial and entertainment venues.
Powered by Pascal UMAC™ Class-D technology with the full PowerZone™ Control web app built in, the PowerZone Connect 3004 provides hybrid Lo-Z/Hi-Z operation, automatic power-sharing, bridgeable outputs, and comprehensive full-matrix DSP. For integrators across Africa working on large houses of worship, convention centres, shopping malls, entertainment complexes, and campus-wide distributed audio, the 3004 delivers the same raw power as the Dante-enabled 3004D at a lower price point — ideal for projects where analogue signal infrastructure is already in place and AoIP networking is not required.
Design and Construction of the Blaze by Sonance PowerZone Connect 3004
The PowerZone Connect 3004 occupies the same full-width 2RU chassis as every other model in the 2U series — 88 × 440 × 332 mm (3.5″ × 17.3″ × 13.1″) at a weight of 7.4 kg. The form factor provides the thermal headroom and power supply capacity needed to sustain 3000W of continuous output into demanding low-impedance loads, while sitting cleanly in a standard 19″ equipment rack.
The output stage is built on Pascal’s UMAC™ Class-D platform — a full-bandwidth PWM modulator engineered for ultra-low distortion. Like all 2U models, the 3004 supports loads down to 2Ω in single-ended mode and offers bridge-tied load (BTL) operation for doubling voltage swing into higher-impedance loads. The UREC™ universal mains switch-mode power supply features Power Factor Correction (PFC) and an integral standby converter, accepting 100–240V AC at 50–60 Hz. Power consumption is 700W at full load.
Comprehensive protection circuits guard against short circuit, DC fault, under-voltage, thermal runaway, and overload conditions. The unit is UL listed, ErP and Energy Star compliant, and includes an integrated wireless access point (WAP) for cable-free commissioning via Wi-Fi. All of this is backed by Blaze’s standard five-year warranty. For projects that require Dante™ audio-over-IP networking, the PowerZone Connect 3004D variant adds integrated Audinate Dante™ in the same chassis.
Performance and Applications for the PowerZone Connect 3004
In single-ended Lo-Z mode, each of the four channels delivers 750W into 2Ω or 4Ω loads, dropping to 400W at 8Ω. That gives you four independently addressable high-power zones — each capable of driving full-range cabinets, large column arrays, or dedicated subwoofer enclosures at levels suitable for performance sound, live speech reinforcement, and high-energy foreground music.
Bridge the outputs into two pairs and each delivers 1500W into 4Ω or 8Ω — enough to push high-output line array elements, large-format subwoofers, or column speakers in the most demanding large-format rooms. In Hi-Z mode, two bridged channels deliver 1200W at 70V or 1500W at 100V each. That is a substantial amount of power for extensive constant-voltage distributed lines — malls, airport terminals, convention halls, and campus-wide paging networks with dozens of tapped speakers per line.
The built-in PowerZone™ Control web app delivers the same full-matrix DSP as every other PowerZone Connect model: multizone routing, input mixing, priority and ducking for paging, restriction, parametric EQ on inputs and outputs, high-pass filtering, speaker presets, delay, sine generator, Wall-S1 controller configuration, and Master/Slave S/PDIF linking. Access it from any browser via the built-in Wi-Fi or the RJ45 network port.
Audio performance is excellent: signal-to-noise ratio exceeds 106 dB (A-weighted), THD+N stays below 0.05%, and frequency response holds within +0/−0.25 dB across 20 Hz – 20 kHz into an 8Ω load. Typical applications include large houses of worship, shopping malls and retail complexes, convention centres and exhibition halls, auditoriums and performing arts venues, entertainment and casino complexes, sports facilities, hotel ballrooms, and campus-wide paging and distributed audio systems.

Conclusion
The Blaze by Sonance PowerZone Connect 3004 delivers the highest per-channel power of any 4-channel model in the PowerZone Connect range — without the added cost of Dante networking. With 3000W across four channels, 750W per output into 2Ω or 4Ω, bridgeable 1500W pairs, and the full PowerZone™ Control DSP suite, it handles the most demanding large-scale installations where analogue signal infrastructure is the established standard.
For integrators across Africa, the 3004 is the go-to choice when your project needs maximum 4-channel power and Dante is not part of the specification. It shares the same chassis, identical output stage, and identical five-year warranty as the 3004D, making it easy to upgrade to the Dante variant on future projects without relearning the platform. Pair it with 1002 or 1502 models for dedicated sub and foreground channels, or combine it with 8-channel 4008 or 6008 units for high-zone-count installations. Combined with Blaze Ci, CBL, or CCA Series loudspeakers — or any compatible 2Ω–16Ω and 70V/100V speakers — the 3004 provides the concentrated, high-output amplification that serious venues demand.
