Overview
The RAM Audio DENEB 10Q is the highest-output model in the DENEB installation amplifier range — a 4-channel, 10,000W unit for large-scale or high-power fixed installations where mid-power amplifiers run out of headroom. It is the right tool for high-output main systems in houses of worship, large retail environments, multipurpose halls, and installed entertainment venues where a single amplifier needs to carry significant load without compromising on DSP capability or reliability.
The DENEB 10Q delivers 10,000W total output in a 2U chassis weighing 7 kg — a combination of power density and physical manageability that is only achievable with a high-efficiency class D topology and an engineered power supply. RAM Audio’s universal PFC power supply handles mains voltage from 90V to 265V AC at 50 or 60 Hz, which covers the full range of electrical infrastructure found in South African and sub-Saharan African installed environments.
Power and Load Flexibility
All four channels of the DENEB 10Q deliver 2,500W each when driven simultaneously. PCM™ power management can redirect the 10,000W total budget dynamically — concentrating up to 2,500W into a single channel and redistributing remaining capacity as needed. Bridge mode delivers 2× 5,000W for dedicated high-power two-channel configurations.
Low-impedance operation covers 2, 4, and 8 ohm. High-impedance operation covers 35V, 50V, 70V, and 100V distributed audio lines. The DENEB 10Q handles all of these on the same chassis, which simplifies specification in mixed-impedance installations and reduces the number of amplifier models a contractor needs to stock.
On-Board FIR DSP
The DENEB 10Q includes the same 64-bit double-precision 96kHz FIR DSP as the DENEB 2.5Q and 5Q. At 10,000W total output, having full on-board processing is not just convenient — it is necessary for proper system management. The processor handles per-channel crossover filtering (FIR and IIR up to 48 dB/oct), 36-filter input EQ, output delay, RMS and Peak limiting, and full routing. The preset library allows system configurations to be stored, recalled, and locked against end-user modification.
For larger multi-amplifier systems, the dual Ethernet ports allow daisy-chaining across multiple DENEB 10Q units with centralised management via RAM_OCS. Smaart® analysis software integration supports live acoustic measurement directly from the control environment.
Professional Protection Suite
The DENEB 10Q carries the full RAM Audio protection suite and is critical at this power level: soft-start, transient muting, thermal protection, DC output protection, short-circuit protection, load mismatch detection, and power supply overload protection. ICL™ intelligent clip limiting and PCM™ power management operate in real time, handling conditions dynamically rather than shutting the amplifier down. At 10,000W, the cost of an unnecessary protection trip in a live installation is significant — the DENEB 10Q is designed to avoid them.
DENEB 10Q – Installation Design and Connectivity
Phoenix connectors throughout. Inverted chassis design with removable foam dust filter. 2U rack height, 7 kg weight, 85W idle draw at 230V AC. At 1/8 rated power into 4 ohm, the DENEB 10Q draws 7.3A at 230V — relevant for rack circuit and breaker planning in large installations.
Optional factory-fitted modules: Dante™ network audio, AES67 (ATMOS and RAVENNA compatible) digital input, AES3 digital input, and GPIO for third-party control integration. All options can be combined.
