The B&C 10NW64 is the highest-motor-authority 10-inch woofer in B&C’s lightweight neodymium range. With an 18.3 Tm force factor — the strongest of any 2.5-inch coil 10-inch driver B&C makes — a 64 mm copper voice coil for maximum thermal performance, a shorting copper cap for smooth extended high-frequency response, and a ventilated gap for reduced power compression, the B&C 10NW64 carries the full NW-series feature set that positions it as the premium option in the neo 10-inch lineup.

The NW designation carries the same meaning at 10 inches as it does at 15 and 18 — this is the variant with the strongest motor, the best thermal management, and the most refined output quality. The B&C 10NW64 handles 300 W AES — more than any other 2.5-inch coil 10-inch woofer in the range — and the copper coil’s superior thermal conductivity means that power rating holds up during sustained use better than CCAW or aluminium alternatives.

With a Qts of 0.26, an EBP of 219 Hz, TWP waterproof treatment on both sides, and 96 dB sensitivity across a 60 Hz – 2500 Hz bandwidth, the B&C 10NW64 is built for vented and horn-loaded enclosures where motor control, thermal reliability, and clean crossover behaviour are the priorities. Design and Construction of the B&C 10NW64

The B&C 10NW64 uses a 64 mm (2.5-inch) copper voice coil wound on a glass fibre former. The copper winding is a deliberate choice over the CCAW used in the NDL64 and the aluminium used in the CLA64 — copper is the densest and most thermally conductive winding material available, providing the best heat dissipation under sustained load. The heavier copper coil increases the moving mass to 47 g (vs the NDL64’s 37 g), but the trade-off is more consistent performance over extended operating periods and the highest power handling in the 2.5-inch coil 10-inch range at 300 W AES.

The 16 mm winding depth operating in an 8 mm magnetic gap yields 6 mm of linear one-way excursion (Xmax) — matching the NDL64’s range-leading figure — with 5.5 mm of additional travel (Xvar) before mechanical limits. The motor uses a neodymium inside-slug magnet in a straight pole configuration, producing 1.25 T of flux density and a force factor (Bl) of 18.3 Tm — the highest Bl of any 2.5-inch coil 10-inch woofer in B&C’s range.
