EAW NT206L

2-Way High-Output Ultra-Compact Active Line Array Element

The EAW NT206L represents an extraordinary engineering milestone in active, portable line array infrastructure, delivering the highest power-to-weight ratio in its class. Purpose-engineered to provide uncompromising, tour-grade clarity for small-to-medium-sized events, theaters, corporate stages, and high-end houses of worship, the EAW NT206L strips away setup complexity. Weighing under 15 kilograms yet capable of outputting a staggering 139 dB Max SPL, it masterfully bridges the gap between massive acoustic punch and ultra-lightweight portability—outperforming many line arrays twice its size.

Award-Winning AHD™ Directivity & Symmetry of Sources™

At the heart of the EAW NT206L acoustic superiority is EAW’s groundbreaking Adjustable Horizontal Directivity (AHD™) technology. Breaking free from the fixed horizontal coverage limitations of conventional systems, the enclosure features tool-free, field-adjustable horn flairs. System designers can seamlessly adapt horizontal high-frequency coverage to fit the venue precisely, choosing between:

  • Narrow Symmetrical: 80° for tightly targeted, long-throw pattern control.

  • Wide Symmetrical: 110° for broad, short-throw frontal or lateral coverage.

  • Asymmetric: 95° (Left or Right) to perfectly steer energy away from architectural walls and reflect cleanly into the audience.

The transducer layout relies on a strict Symmetry of Sources™ blueprint. By aligning the dual 6.5-inch low-frequency drivers symmetrically along a common axis around the central high-frequency horn loaded with an Isophasic waveguide, the array element provides absolute sonic consistency and perfect horizontal imaging across the entire coverage area.

Massive Integrated Power & DynO™ Intelligence

  • 1500W Peak Class D Module: Driven by an integrated, ultra-efficient internal bi-amplification module that pumps out 1000 Watts to the low frequencies and 500 Watts to the high-frequency compression driver.

  • Onboard Signal Processing: Utilizes professional, preloaded EAW Focusing™ filters to correct inherent time-domain and mechanical resonances, guaranteeing that the audio input signal exactly matches the output wave.

  • Real-Time DynO™ Protection: Built-in DynO™ (Dynamic Optimization) preprocesses the audio dynamically as it reaches extreme levels. It tracks mechanical and thermal boundaries to extract every last ounce of acoustic headroom while keeping the dual 2-inch low-frequency and 1.75-inch high-frequency voice coils perfectly safeguarded.

Streamlined Analog Layout & Rapid Mechanical Deployment

Recognizing the rapid turnaround times of professional rental companies and corporate event networks, the EAW NT206L prioritizes reliable plug-and-play simplicity. It completely bypasses the complications of digital network patching by using a clean, rock-solid analog infrastructure. The rear input module provides electronically balanced XLR inputs with a direct, uncompromised hardware loop-thru output alongside a multi-cabinet HF throw configuration button to scale the high-frequency profile based on array size.

Constructed from premium Baltic Birch and heavily treated with EAW’s Roadcoat™ two-part polyurea finish, the rugged enclosure is inherently protected against the wear of the road. A built-in, concealed 3-point rigging system allows for ultra-fast deployment. Accompanied by a multi-use flybar kit, the EAW NT206L supports flown line array tracking, pullback down-angles, secure ground-stack matrices, or pole-mounting atop subwoofers with integrated M20 adapters.
