EAW NT219S
Dual 19″ Powered Subwoofer — Newport Series
The EAW NT219S is a dual 19-inch active subwoofer and the largest low-frequency cabinet in EAW’s Newport Series. It pairs two 19-inch high-excursion drivers with 8000 W of onboard Class-D power to reach 142 dB max SPL with extension to 25 Hz — the acoustic weight needed to anchor large touring, festival and arena-scale productions. Like the rest of the Newport Series it runs self-powered, works flown or ground-stacked, and is designed as a low-frequency partner to the NT206L and NT208L line arrays.
Dual 19-inch high-excursion drivers
The NT219S is built around two purpose-built 19-inch high-excursion transducers on 4-inch voice coils in a vented enclosure. The 19-inch format moves more air than a standard 18-inch driver, and doubling it in a single cabinet gives the NT219S the displacement to reach 142 dB max SPL and hold extension to 25 Hz. This is a cabinet built for very-low-frequency energy and headroom — the deep, physical low end that large rooms and open-air sites demand — rather than simply more level.
8000 W of onboard power
An 8000 W integrated Class-D amplifier and the cabinet’s DSP are built into the enclosure, so the NT219S is self-powered with no external amplifier rack. It runs in single-amp VLF DSP mode with EAW DynO, the dynamic-optimisation processing used across the Newport subs, so the NT219S sits tonally alongside the NT206L and NT208L tops and the NT119S sub without separate tuning. Integrating the electronics keeps the rig’s weight, footprint and cabling down for the output on offer.
A step-change from dual 18-inch systems
The NT219S is aimed at productions that currently rely on dual 18-inch subwoofers. It is engineered to go lower, louder and cleaner than conventional dual-18 designs while keeping the deployment simplicity and predictable voicing of the Newport Series. For rental inventories that means fewer cabinets to reach arena-level low-frequency targets, with the same integrated-amplifier workflow across the rig.
EAW NT219S Flown or ground-stacked, array-ready
The NT219S is supplied in an array-ready enclosure for both flown and ground-stacked use. It can anchor flown sub arrays or build large ground-stacked low-frequency walls, and supports cardioid and end-fire configurations to direct low-frequency energy into the audience and reduce spill on stage and behind the system — a real advantage on noise-sensitive sites and multi-stage festivals.
Configured with OAA v1.1
The NT219S is supported by version 1.1 of EAW’s Online Array Assistant (OAA), the browser-based tool that calculates rigging and array parameters before load-in. OAA v1.1 supports throw distances up to 300 feet, reports total array weight and bottom-of-array height for safe rigging, and includes a dedicated subwoofer array guide for setting up cardioid and end-fire arrays quickly and reliably. On large productions that up-front certainty saves time and removes guesswork at height.
Built for the road and the elements
Newport Series cabinets are built from Baltic birch, steel and aluminium for the balance of stiffness, durability and weight that touring demands, and an optional rain hood protects the amplifier and input section during outdoor deployments. The NT219S is equally at home in a large fixed install, on a touring deck or out in the open at a festival.
EAW NT219S – Part of the Newport ecosystem
The NT219S sits alongside the NT119S subwoofer and the NT206L, NT208L and NTX210L line arrays in EAW’s Newport Series. Every Newport module carries integrated amplification and is included in EAW’s Resolution software libraries for 3D SPL modelling and room optimisation, so a designer can predict coverage and output before load-in and deploy a system that behaves as modelled.
Applications
Large-format touring and live production, festivals, arena-scale events, major fixed installations and performing arts venues — wherever deep, high-output low frequency is needed to anchor a full-size rig without external amplifier racks.
