RAM Audio PowerPack DSP AS 1K5 Plate Amplifier
The RAM Audio PowerPack AS 1K5 is a 2-channel Class-D plate amplifier designed to build active loudspeakers or convert existing passive cabinets into self-powered systems. As part of the ASYM series, it features a lightweight switching power supply and an integrated FIR-compatible digital signal processor.
While sharing the architecture, chassis dimensions, and software backend of the larger AS-2K3, the AS 1K5 operates with a symmetrical power split across its two channels and includes bridging functionality.

- Integrated Digital Signal Processor: 64-bit double-precision 96 kHz DSP utilizing 96 kHz/32-bit AD/DA converters. Features 2000 taps FIR capability and a latency of 0.6 ms.
- Preset Management: 4 quick-presets selectable via an external hardware button, with capacity for up to 20 user preset libraries.
- Networking and Control: Dual-port RJ45 Ethernet switch supporting daisy-chain configurations for telemetry monitoring and DSP adjustment. Dedicated USB Type-B port for configuration adjustments and firmware utility installations via RAM_OCS control software.
- Monitoring Interfaces: Integrated physical indicators and metering for signal presence, operational status, input/output levels, temperature tracking, current draw, and real-time impedance monitoring.
- Power & Safety Architectures: Incorporates Advanced Power Management System (PMS™), Intelligent Clip Limiting (ICL™), alongside defenses against turn-on transients, overheating, DC faults, RF signals, overcurrent, and mismatched loads.
- Physical Connections: Neutrik-sourced hardware including an XLR input, XLR link out, powerCON True1 input and output loop, and internal Speakon terminals for driver routing.

It is real time fully programmable directly from the front panel in the amplifiers or through Ethernet or USB by means of RAM Audio own control software, RAM_OCS.
