Commanding Blaze by Sonance PowerZone Connect 6008 – 6000W 8-Channel DSP Amplifier for Large-Scale Commercial Audio
The Blaze by Sonance PowerZone Connect 6008 is a 6000W DSP-enabled Class-D amplifier with eight high-current output channels — the most powerful non-Dante model in the entire PowerZone Connect range. Built on the 2U full-rack chassis, it combines the 8-channel flexibility needed for complex multi-zone installations with the per-channel output of the 3004 series: 750W into 2Ω or 4Ω per channel in single-ended mode, or 1500W per bridged pair. When your project demands maximum power and maximum zones from a single amplifier, this is it.
Powered by Pascal UMAC™ Class-D technology with the full PowerZone™ Control web app built in, the PowerZone Connect 6008 delivers hybrid Lo-Z/Hi-Z operation, automatic power-sharing, and comprehensive DSP across all eight channels. For integrators across Africa taking on large entertainment complexes, shopping malls, convention centres, mega-churches, campus-wide distributed audio, or multi-zone sports and fitness facilities, this amplifier provides the muscle to drive extensive speaker networks from a single two-rack-unit footprint.
Design and Construction of the Blaze by Sonance PowerZone Connect 6008
The PowerZone Connect 6008 occupies a full-width 2RU chassis — the same form factor used across the 2U series. The step up to eight channels at 750W each demands serious thermal management and power supply capacity, which the 2U enclosure delivers with room to sustain continuous high-output operation in rack-dense equipment rooms.
The output stage is built on Pascal’s UMAC™ Class-D platform — a full-bandwidth PWM modulator engineered for ultra-low distortion. Unlike the 1U models, the 2U series supports loads down to 2Ω in single-ended mode and offers bridge-tied load (BTL) operation for doubling voltage swing into higher-impedance loads. The UREC™ universal mains switch-mode power supply features Power Factor Correction (PFC) and an integral standby converter, accepting 100–240V AC at 50–60 Hz for worldwide deployment.
Protection circuitry covers short circuit, DC fault, under-voltage, thermal, and overload conditions. The unit is UL listed, ErP and Energy Star compliant, and includes an integrated wireless access point (WAP) for cable-free commissioning via Wi-Fi. Blaze backs it with a five-year warranty. For installations that require Dante™ audio-over-IP networking, the PowerZone Connect 6008D variant adds integrated Audinate Dante™ in the same chassis.
Performance and Applications for the PowerZone Connect 6008
In single-ended Lo-Z mode, each of the eight channels delivers 750W into 2Ω or 4Ω loads and 400W at 8Ω. That is the same per-channel output as the 4-channel 3004 — but doubled to eight channels for a total system power of 6000W. Bridge the outputs into four pairs and each delivers 1500W into 4Ω or 8Ω — enough to drive high-output loudspeaker cabinets, subwoofers, or column arrays in large-format spaces.
In Hi-Z mode, four bridged channels deliver 1200W at 70V or 1500W at 100V each. With four independent constant-voltage lines at that power level, a single 6008 can drive hundreds of ceiling and horn speakers across multiple building wings, floors, or outdoor zones — replacing what would otherwise require two or more amplifiers.
Automatic power-sharing redistributes up to 1500W proportionally across each pair of Lo-Z output channels. Zones with heavier speaker loading draw more headroom while lighter zones scale back, keeping the system balanced without manual gain adjustment or external processing.
The built-in PowerZone™ Control web app provides the same full-matrix DSP as every other model in the range: multizone routing, input mixing, priority and ducking for paging, restriction, parametric EQ on inputs and outputs, high-pass filtering, speaker presets, delay, sine generator, and Wall-S1 controller configuration. Access it from any browser via the built-in Wi-Fi or the RJ45 network port. Audio performance is excellent across the board — signal-to-noise ratio exceeds 106 dB (A-weighted), THD+N stays below 0.05%, and frequency response holds within +0/−0.25 dB across 20 Hz – 20 kHz.
Typical applications include shopping malls and large retail complexes, convention centres and exhibition halls, mega-churches and large houses of worship, entertainment and casino complexes, sports and fitness centres with multiple high-energy zones, airport and transit terminals, hotel conference wings, university campuses, and any multi-zone venue where eight high-power channels from a single amplifier reduces rack count and simplifies system architecture.

Conclusion
The Blaze by Sonance PowerZone Connect 6008 is the flagship of the non-Dante PowerZone Connect lineup. With 6000W across eight channels, 2Ω drive capability, bridgeable outputs reaching 1500W, and the full PowerZone™ Control DSP suite, it delivers more power and more zones from a single 2RU amplifier than anything else in the range. Where the 4-channel 3004 covers four high-power zones, the 6008 doubles that to eight — reducing rack count, simplifying wiring, and centralising DSP control for large-scale installations.
For integrators across Africa working on the largest commercial and entertainment projects, the PowerZone Connect 6008 is the high-output, high-channel-count workhorse. It shares the same 2U chassis, DSP platform, and five-year warranty as the rest of the series, making it easy to mix with 3004, 2004, or 1U models in the same rack. For Dante-networked installations, the 6008D variant adds integrated Audinate Dante™ AoIP. Pair it with Blaze Ci, CBL, or CCA Series loudspeakers — or any compatible 2Ω–16Ω and 70V/100V speakers — to build a high-capacity, professionally managed audio system that covers even the most demanding venues on the continent.
