EAW OTTO

Premium Powered Subwoofer with 3D Adaptive Performance™

The EAW OTTO represents the undisputed pinnacle of low-frequency engineering, serving as the world’s first and only large-format, fully ADAPTive subwoofer system. Purpose-engineered to operate alongside flagship Anya™ and Anna™ modules, OTTO delivers unprecedented acoustic power combined with total, three-dimensional control over low-frequency directivity. By providing real-time, software-defined coverage patterns, OTTO completely discards the physical limitations, massive footprints, and complex setups traditionally required to build cardioid or directional bass arrays.

Total Architectural Independence & Splay-Free Rigging

Designed to maximize logistical and structural efficiency, EAW OTTO modules utilize a completely straight-hang rigging layout. Audio contractors and touring crews can suspend massive low-frequency arrays without any mechanical splay angles or physical orientation adjustments. Every single enclosure is identically configured with a dual-woofer design that allows it to achieve omnidirectional, cardioid, hypercardioid, or entirely custom asymmetrical coverage purely through digital processing.

The mechanical architecture features an ultra-rugged, integrated rigging system with flush-mounted tracking hardware, meaning columns can hang seamlessly behind, alongside, or independently from full-range ADAPTive arrays. OTTO is equally at home anchoring elite permanent installations in world-class theaters and stadiums or traveling on high-demand global tours where rapid setup and architectural transparency are paramount.

EAW OTTO

Colossal Transducer Architecture & Total Power Density

Beneath its heavy-duty exterior, EAW OTTO houses an ultra-premium low-frequency engine comprising dual high-power 18-inch cone transducers with massive 4.5-inch voice coils. The woofers are mounted in an innovative, horizontally offset and precisely vented orientation that minimizes enclosure size while maximizing internal acoustic loading.

Each of the two transducers is directly coupled to its own independent channel of ultra-efficient Class D amplification and a discrete, premium onboard DSP chip. This self-contained field-replaceable “Power Plant” allows a single OTTO module to unleash a staggering maximum peak output of 141 dB (Free Field) or 147 dB (Half Space) with unyielding, thunderous authority all the way down to a subterranean 22 Hz.

Patented Adaptive Technology & Processing Intelligence

  • Adaptive Performance™: Controlled over a redundant Dante digital network via Resolution™ 2 software, OTTO calculates and adjusts its low-frequency acoustic wavefront electronically. System designers can instantly steer bass energy toward audience zones while creating massive, broadband rejection zones behind and above the array to keep stages completely quiet and minimize room reflections.

  • Offset Aperture™ Loading: By mathematically shifting the apparent acoustic centers of the dual 18-inch woofers, OTTO achieves incredible broadband pattern control further up into the sub-bass transition zone without introducing acoustic anomalies or phase distortion.

  • Adaptive Healing & On-Board Diagnostics: Integrated diagnostic systems continuously monitor transducer impedance, amplifier temperature, and system health. In the unlikely event that a component experiences a fault, Adaptive Healing automatically alters the DSP parameters of surrounding modules to instantly compensate for the acoustic loss.

  • Optilogic Intelligence: Built-in infrared (IR) transceivers automatically discover each module’s exact location, layout, and positioning within the array, communicating structural data directly back to Resolution™ 2 to completely eliminate manual programming entry errors.
